Network Engineer

Charles Simon Associates are currently looking for a Network Engineer on a permanent basis for our fast growing business based in Lincoln. This is the opportunity to work within a company that are going through a complete IT Transformation.

 

Location: Lincoln (2 days on site 3 days working from home)

Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 Per Annum

 

Skills/requirements for the Network Engineer:

• Previous experience within a similar role
• Extensive routing and switching experience.
• Strong routing protocols including BGP and OSPF
• Extensive Firewall experience, ideally Fortinet/FortiGate, CheckPoint or ASA
• General Infrastructure support is highly desirable around O365 and VMware
• Experience of configuring, setting up and managing Network devices
• Knowledge of SD-WAN is highly desirable
• IP Telephony experience is highly desirable

 

Start date for the Network Engineer is ASAP

 

The Network Engineer will be responsible for:

• Providing support for any tickets that are raised from the Service Desk around the Network
• Ensuring technical documentation is development and maintained for all areas of networking
• Liasing with 3^rd parties where necessary to provide the best service possible
• Working closely with the IT Security Team to ensure the Network and Infrastructure meets security baselines
• Assisting in the designing and documenting of Networking processes, procedures and standard across the group
• Ensuring the groups public and private Wi-Fi is supported across all sites, in order to alleviate any downtime in service
• Providing post-mortem root cause analysis for any major issues that do occur.
