IT Field Engineer

Charles Simon Associates are currently looking for an IT Field Engineer on a permanent basis for a large UK business based out of Harrow. This role will consist of travel to other sites.

Location: Harrow (with travel to other sites in North London)

Salary: £27,000 - £29,000 Per Annum

Skills/Requirements for the IT Field Engineer:

• Previous experience as a Field Engineer
• Strong Windows operating systems experience around Windows 7/10
• Hardware support including Printers, Scanners, PC’s and Laptops
• Experience of both Imaging PC’s and Laptops
• Strong LAN and WAN experience
• Ability to work on Network hardware ports and routers
• Experience of working within DNS/DHCP in the past is desirable

Start date for the IT Field Engineer is ASAP

This is a field based role so will require a driving licence.

The IT Field Engineer will be responsible for:

• Managing and prioritising technical support workload
• Provide technical support to other sites as part of a distributed Helpdesk service.
• Installing new hardware and software for users as instructed
• Undertaking basic administration of PBX and cloud based phone system. (Training will be given).
• Updating & maintaining asset register of ICT hardware.
• Carrying out network audits such as asset location and security checks.
• Ensure that all software installations comply with the End User License Agreements.
• Escalating unresolved issues to other teams and senior members of the IT team
