IT Services Manager

Charles Simon Associates are currently looking for an IT Services Manager on a permanent basis for a Global business based in Milton Keynes.

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum

Location: Milton Keynes

Skills/Requirements for the IT Services Manager:

  • An evident passion for quality customer service
  • ITIL Intermediate qualification or above
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and able to communicate to senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience of managing, measuring and improving service delivery
  • Able to demonstrate strong organisational skills and the ability to manage on going activity across multiple allocated customers within your team.
  • Manage and prioritise tasks/time efficiently
  • Able to facilitate, chair and steer internal meetings to achieve the stated objective/decision. Experience of service management in an IT environment (ideally Operations/Infrastructure) with demonstrable working knowledge of incident management, escalation procedures and related disciplines.
  • Able to excel under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • A sound technical background covering a variety of workstreams
  • Demonstrate a creative approach to problem solving and conflict resolution within your team.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience of Office 365 and Active Directory
  • Experience of Service Now

Start date is ASAP for the IT Services Manager

The IT Services Manager will be responsible for:

  • Develops, produces and implements clear documentation in line with the organisational standards for managing the various ITIL processes, meeting customer requirements and using best practice Develops, produces and implements any necessary reporting & measurement capability against process performance and effectiveness
  • Provides overall process governance of processes including live ticket analysis
  • Prepares and carries out ticket quality analysis in line with customer requirements
  • Liaise and interacts with functional managers and third party providers to ensure process adherence
  • Liaise with functional leaders to ensure end to end ticket management occurs and assist with putting in place triggers and reports for ensuring adequate ticket/incident and request management is in place
  • Manage Problem tickets for your allocated customers
  • Perform trend analysis to feed into Problem Management and Service Improvement activity. Demonstrate a strong understanding of your customers’ utilisation of our services (SLA/KPI’s)
