Junior Network Engineer

Charles Simon Associates are currently looking for a Junior Network Engineer on a permanent basis for a fast growing business based in Featherstone.

 

Salary: Up To £30,000 per annum

Location: Featherstone

 

Skills/Requirements for the Junior Network Engineer:

  • Previous experience working with or around networking technologies is vital
  • Experience of working with both routing and switching technologies
  • Strong experience around DNS/DHCP
  • Extensive experience of LAN/WAN
  • Firewall knowledge/experience is desirable using ASA, Fortinet or other firewall products

 

Start date is ASAP for the Junior Network Engineer

 

The Junior Network Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Working as part of a team to support and identify issues affecting customer systems and services, then perform 3rd line diagnosis with a view to resolution.
  • Visiting sites when needed to resolve technical issues and upgrades.
  • Act as a mentor for newer/junior members of the team.
  • Troubleshooting network devices and issues
  • Building strong relationships through good communication to both technical and non-technical staff
