Network Engineer

Charles Simon Associates are currently looking for a Network Engineer on a permanent basis for our global business based in London

Location: London

Salary: £55,000 - £600,000 per annum

Skills/requirements for the Network Engineer:

Extensive routing and switching experience

Strong routing protocols including BGP and OSPF

Experience of working within large organisations is key

Firewall experience using any Enterprise level product such as: FortiNet, FortiGate, ASA, CheckPoint

Experience of MPLS

Ability to work on your own initiative

Experience of SD-WAN is highly desirable

Start date for the Network Engineer is ASAP

The Network Engineer will be responsible for:

Network infrastructure asset ownership, maintenance, deployment and assurance

Platform design, implementation and optimization projects

Providing 4th line escalation support for internal teams and customers across all tiers of the network.

Developing strong internal relationships with other teams

Producing network documentation

Project planning and delivery.

Actively work on service improvement plans to drive improvements, cost efficiency and performance.

Providing full lifecycle management of network/security devices, including reviewing and implementing network upgrades
