Junior SQL DBA

Charles Simon Associates are currently looking for a Junior SQL DBA on a permanent basis for our prestigious global business based in Central Manchester.

 

Location: Manchester (with work from home)

Salary: up to £35,000 per annum

Skills/Requirements for the Junior SQL DBA:

• Previous experience working in a Data Analysis or reporting role
• Experience of SQL Server, with a preference for commercial experience, however academic would be acceptable
• Strong passion for SQL and IT in general
• Good work ethic and a willingness to learn

 

Desirable Skills

Any experience or knowledge of SSRS and SSIS

 

Start date is ASAP for the Junior SQL DBA

 

The Junior SQL DBA will be responsible for:

• Configuring, managing & maintaining SQL Servers across multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems
• Contributing to the upgrade and modernisation programme of works, delivering Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Compliance, and ensuring best practices in SQL systems
• Monitor system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security
• Investigating and resolve escalated tickets from the Service Desk and other support functions such as BI and Development.
