Cyber Security Analyst

Charles Simon Associates are currently looking for a Cyber Security Analyst on a permanent basis or our prestigious and fast growing company based in Manchester.

Location: Manchester

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum

Skills/Requirements for the Cyber Security Analyst:

• Previous experience/exposure of working within SIEM Solutions, such as LogRhythm
• Previous experience/exposure of endpoint protection services
• An appreciation for Cyber Security and the enthusiasm to develop within the role
• Understanding of GDPR
• ITIL experience

Desirable Skills:

• CASB
• Vulnerability Scanner tools
• Cyber Essentials
• Start date is ASAP for the Junior Information Security Analyst

The Cyber Security Analyst will be responsible for:

• Analysing security events, identifying issues, and recommending solutions
• Keeping up-to-date with current threats, technologies and solutions
• Understanding the concept of layered security and bring experience in regard to vulnerability scanning and threat hunting.
• Security investigations, including responding to incidents involving malware, data loss, or network intrusion.
• Helping to develop and improve the current security strategies and processes with other more senior members of the business.
• Providing technical leadership for all security systems and tools, especially SIEM, DLP and Endpoint Protection technologies.
• Developing and maintaining our security procedures and update standards and documentation
• Innovation and Continual Service Improvements.
• Identifying opportunities for automation and on-going improvements to existing services.
