IT Field Support Engineer

Charles Simon Associates are currently looking for an IT Field Engineer on a permanent basis for our prestigious fast growing business based in Nottingham with regular travel to other local sites.

Location: Nottingham

Salary: Up to £23,000 per annum

Skills/Requirements for the IT Field Engineer:

• Degree within IT
• Some previous IT support experience
• Ability to troubleshoot problems quickly and effectively
• Basic IT knowledge such as Windows 7/10 and Active Directory
• Hardware experience such as Printers

Start date is ASAP

The IT Field Engineer will be responsible for:

• Providing support for all incidents and service requests, including site visits, telephone calls, emails or self-service portal.
• Communicating with customers in a professional, supportive and positive manner.

• Conducting regular visits to a number of sites in the local area

• Complying with the Change Management & Incident Management Process, Service Request and Major Incident Process and all other documented ITIL processes.

• When needed, identifying and escalating incidents to the Third line support/Service Delivery Manager for further investigation and resolution

• Keeping up to date with technical developments in appropriate areas of work ensuring that as many reported incidents are resolved at the first point of contact where possible

• Maintaining peripheral computer equipment i.e. wireless devices and printers etc
