Infrastructure Engineer

Charles Simon Associates are currently looking for an Infrastructure Engineer on a permanent basis for our prestigious Europe wide client based in Lancaster.

 

Location: Lancaster/Hybrid

Salary: Up to £38,000 per annum D.O.E

 

Skills/Requirements for the Infrastructure Engineer:

• Previous experience in similar role is vital
• Strong O365 and Windows Server experience
• Extensive Azure experience
• Active Directory
• Ability to troubleshoot network issues around TCP/IP, Lan/WAN and basic Cisco
• Firewall experience
• MS Intune experience
• Virtualization experience within VMware and/or Hyper-V
• AzureAD/EntraID

 

Start date is ASAP for the Infrastructure Engineer

 

The Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for:

• Supporting and monitoring the existing infrastructure and performing preventative and proactive maintenance
• Diagnosing and resolve complex infrastructure and connectivity issues/problems raised by the Service Desk team
• Helping and supporting junior members of the team and mentoring when needed
• Assisting the team in designing and documenting infrastructure processes, procedures and Standards across the group
• Completing IT projects on time with assistance from the wider IT team
• Liaising closely with the 3rd parties to ensure all infrastructure work is performed to the highest levels
• Traveling to sites in order to provide proactive maintenance and upgrades to both hardware and software
• Assisting in the tracking and recording of the companies infrastructure assets to ensure that infrastructure and data is kept secure at all times
