Network Field Engineer

Charles Simon Associates are currently looking to hire a Network Field Engineer on a permanent basis for our national client based in Leeds. This role will require travel across the UK for a large scale networking project.

 

Location: Leeds with travel

Salary: up to £40,000 Per Annum D.O.E plus £5k Car Allowance

 

Skills/Requirements for the Network Field Engineer:

  • Previous experience is vital for this role
  • Strong Cisco Switching and Routing experience
  • Previous Installation of switches and other devices
  • Extensive network troubleshooting experience
  • VLAN experience
  • Strong cabling skills around cat5

 

Desirable Skills:

  • Azure
  • Active Directory
  • Windows Server

Start date is ASAP for the Network Field Engineer

 

The Network Field Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Delivering a large networking project which will be rolled out across the UK
  • Installing switching and other devices at sites across the UK
  • Providing high level escalation support from the Service Desk within Cisco
  • Setting up and running cabling for projects
  • Dealing with high level stakeholders when needed to provide them with updates
  • Keeping a log of all hardware within the group
  • Providing general infrastructure support when needed around Windows Server, AD and Azure
  • Troubleshooting network issues both onsite and remotely when needed
