The Original Weave Chopping Board
Made to create an optical illusion, they appear “woven” and uneven viewed from an angle yet are silky smooth to touch. The featured board is approximately 40cm x 30cm x 7cm thick and consists of an incredible 1021 seperate pieces of wood. Even unused, it is a real talking point and makes an unbeatable gift for newlyweds or the discerning chef.
Make no mistake, this board is very much a working piece. It is double side because of it’s completely solid construction and is made from the “end grain” of the timbers, the professional way. End grain boards are the most durable and accepted as the very best of the best.
This piece is made from Canadian Maple and American Black Walnut with a surround made from beautiful English Yew. They come complete, badged on two edges with my engraved brass makers mark to add an extra touch of quality. They can also be personalised at extra cost in the style shown , the featured board was for a particularly special day as you can see. This is a gift that will last for decades and will always remind the recipient of their special day.
These fabulous boards are both practical and beautiful, made to a Charles Simon design, they will not be found anywhere else. A true Original. They are listed in standard sizes but can be made easily to random sizes up to 80cm x 60cm at your request.

For a personalised board with two engraved plaques as above, add £50.00 to the basic cost. For simply names and dates, add just £35.00 to the basic cost.
Delivery for these boards is quoted as 28 days but if you require a personalised board, it may take longer. Please order in plenty of time if it is a gift.
